Christmas is a stressful time of the year for many people.

Here are some basic Feng Shui tips to help ease the stress for you to enjoy the Christmas season:

  1. Decorate your home with good Feng Shui colors for balance. Red candles, bright lights and gold accents all help to add good Feng Shui to rooms.

  2. Place your Christmas tree in the best Feng Shui area of your home. The best areas are the Health and Family area, the Wealth and Prosperity area and the Fame and Reputation area.  Below is a Feng Shui Bagua Map that you can place over your home to find out where these areas are.  The Knowledge, Career and Helpful People areas coincide with the front of your home.

  3. Use candles to keep the energy fresh, clear and nourishing. In Feng Shui candles are used in space clearing to clear old energy and purify the new energy.  We can do that in our homes at Christmas by burning candles.  Small tea light and votive candles are good Feng Shui as well.

  4. Use fragrant and pure essential oils to create good energy in your home. The air you breathe is important as it creates your mood and helps bring Feng Shui energy of warmth and nourishment into your home.

  5. Decorate your home with vibrant green plants especially ones that purify the air such as the Peace Lily and the Areca Palm. Plants bring the healing essence of nature into your home.

Feng Shui is about creating a happy, harmonious home at Christmas and all year around.
